...and now...The News
|
May 20th, 1999: Okay! It's been awhile since I did an update here. I've been goofing around as usual and have not been documenting stuff, so here's the quick list:
|
April 4th, 1999: I've been playing around with
the computer toys again... this time it's animated GIF format images. I've selected
some nifty little screen captures from The Play's The Thing. You should now - or
shortly - be seeing the animation in the thumbnail. It contains six frames. It links to
a bigger one with nine image frames. There's also a few seconds of bad
video on that page. Together, they take up about one half meg of storage.
March 22nd, 1999: Okay, maybe I have a new favorite
episode from season 4...The Play's The Thing. Just click the thumbnail pic to see
the screen capture.
I think I can get this to look better. It's a hit-and-miss process. I can either fix up this
attempt, or try to redo the capture and see if I can eliminate the "buzz saw" effect
without losing too much sharpness. That's going to have to wait until some later time.
In any case, I like this shot!
March 5th, 1999:
Here's an Arts and Crafts project for you...<g>
I got a
request in email the other day for a graphic
of the Dar and Kerry ID tags that Terri and I made up for the Santa Monica Convention.
The top two tags are my version and the bottom two are Terri's version. If
you'd like to make up these tags for yourself, just click the mini picture here and you'll
get the graphic on your screen. PLEASE NOTE that it's BIG at about 385K. That's
because it's
sized at 360 dpi so it will print nicely. Just save it to your disk and then
print it. The easiest method I can think of to print it would be to just insert it
into a Microsoft Word document. Just be sure the margins are set wide enough so that
it will import at 100% and not be rescaled smaller. Let the finished print(s) dry
thoroughly
and then trim them out. Now take those to someplace where they can laminate luggage tags
and then add a chain from your favorite hardware store or some other thingie to hang them
around your neck. Voila!
February 16th, 1999: I'm back from Canada. Things went
okay for the most part.
It was a nice trip. In any case, I came back to my least favorite
project and have been occupied with that. January 29th, 1999: Here's my latest Santa Monica 99
scans...
Some time last week, I put up a "best-of" Santa Monica page
with a quickie link page to photos 1-30. That's it for now!

You can see images 001 throught 015 online
at this temporary page. The one's linked here
are my personal faves to date. There's still film coming back this weekend...
That's all there is here! Thanks for reading.
