October 9th, 1998: Hello everyone! I guess you realized that
I've moved my web pages. This was going to happen eventually, but it was expedited by GTE Internet
Services new policy of non-service to their customers. Basically, they have cut off unlimited
access service. The new policy is 100 hours of access per month. After that, they impose a
penalizing fee of $1 per connect hour. On top of that, I got a nasty-gram from them about
these web pages of mine. It seems the current content was taking up nearly 8M of their
precious web space and they were threatening to shut my page down unless I upgraded
to a commercial account. In case you haven't been through all the pages here... I'M NOT SELLING
ANYTHING! <G> October 8th, 1998: I've put up
some Zon Con pictures! I'll try to get some more on the page soon.
September 24th, 1998: Unfortunately, Georges won the
battle, but not the war. Hopefully, there will be a reschedule -- we'll live to battle another day.
September 23rd, 1998: Well, I sure hope that dang hurricane (Georges) decides
to take a hike. I really, really want to go to Orlando, FL for Evy's Bardthday Bash at
Westgate Lakes Resort. On that note, here is some art I've generated. card.jpg (60K) is the cover art for
the birthday card. sticker01.jpg (130K) is one page of color stickers
I am generating and the second is sticker02.jpg (120K). These are to
be printed on sticker stock. June 22nd, 1998: I've been experimenting with my
Mac 7600/120 and Avid VideoShop. I'm just learning this stuff so cut me a break! :-) February 12, 1998: Next stop, the South Carolina Xenafest at the Sands Ocean Club Resort in Myrtle Beach! The Fest will be February 20-21 with a wrap-up on Sunday the 22nd. This promises to be another fun fan organized event. Some things on the agenda include games and viewing marathons. There is dinner trip to Medieval Times (a theme restaurant) planned as well. For attendees that can stay longer on Sunday, there is also a farewell lunch at Planet Hollywood. January 23, 1998: See the Burbank Convention page. There are currently 18 images there. I'll be adding a few more photos and page for the Getty Center - Special thanks to Royla: Warrior Chauffer! January 21, 1998: I've updated the wallpaper portion by adding a JPEG version (from the original 24-bit TIFF version). This is much better for Windows 95 users.
January 7, 1998: In a few short days I'm leaving for the second Burbank Hercules and Xena Convention. While I'm there, I hope to be able to visit the recently opened Getty Center. If you want to take a peek at what awaits, just hope on over to http://www.getty.edu/ and see for yourself. I've been reading on some of my favorite mailing lists about customizing the Windows 95 desktop themes. Being a bit of an experimenter, I've created two animated cursor icons. The first one is designed to replace the hourglass "Busy" cursor, and the second would replace the arrow and hourglass "Working in Background" cursor. I can't make web compatible animated versions...yet, so here are four "snapshots" in a panel to demonstrate general appearance of each cursor as it rotates. Also: I can't show it here, but the backgrounds of these cursors are transparent - not solid as they appear. To download these cursors, 1) *right click* on the first picture link below, 2) choose the Save Link As option, and 3) navigate to your WINDOWS\CURSORS directory and Save the cursor file there. Repeat this for the second cursor (Working in Background). To use this cursors after downloading, you must go through the Start > Settings > Control Panels > Mouse command hierarchy and select the Pointers tab. This provides a list of actions and the cursors associated with them. Click on the "Busy" item in the list and then the Browse button. Use the file dialog box displayed to navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\CURSORS directory and select jeschakram.ANI from the file list. Next, click on the "Working in Background" item in the list and then the Browse button. Use the file dialog box displayed to navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\CURSORS directory and select jeschakram-workback.ANI from the file list. Now, click the Apply button to activate the new cursors. Exit out of the control panel windows and you're all set!
In any case, I'm now with Mindspring and I think this will work out just fine.
Another thing I've been meaning to get linked here is a few of my best pictures from my trip to
Burbank for the HTLJ/XWP Convention back in January. While we
were there, we took Saturday morning after we helped set up the auditorium to visit
the newly opened Getty Center so have a look at these photos. As always... one day
I'll add some more (bet you've never seen me write that
before). <BG>
While shopping for sticker stock, I also came across stock
for window decals. The stickers and the window decals are made in such a way
that they can be peeled-up intact and re-stuck again. (kewl!)
Now here's the list of Reneé O'Connor on Entertainment Tonight, June 18, 1998 video captures:

My favorite win - Wallpaper
Clicking the thumbnail picture here will display a picture of the wallpaper image in the browser window. When the picture is done loading, press the RIGHT mouse button. You should now see a pop-up menu with a choice to Save As Wallpaper. Select that option and you now have a Lucy Lawless/Renee O'Connor wallpaper!
That's all there is here! Thanks for reading.
